About Kendra76

Hi. My name is Kendra and here is a little about me...For 13 years I was a on again-off again drug user. During that time I was in several abusive relationships and I hung out with the "wrong crowd" of people. I frequently broke the law and eventually ended up going to prison for two years. During those 13 years, I managed to have three beautiful, smart, gifted and amazing kids. My oldest will be 12 this year, my middle one is 9 and my baby will be 8 in October. Right before I went to prison, I was lost...more so that I have ever been in my life. I had lost everything and had completely given up on myself. Prison actually saved my life. It gave me a chance to find myself again and when I got home, I had a life...my kids had a mama again. Since I've been home things have been great, I am a new person. The only thing I am having trouble with is finding a place to live. I have a great job, it's steady and very dependable. For once I have insurance for my kids and myself, I don't have to work weekends or nights and I feel good about what I am doing! I know that I have made many mistakes in my past, but I am doing good now. I feel like I have learned from my mistakes and I don't ever plan to look back or to repeat any of those things again. I don't expect things to be handed to me, as I know there are more deserving people in the world than me. I do however, feel like I deserve a chance for a new start. My past is hindering me tremendously. I get turned down on every rental application I fill out. I need help. Please let me know if anyone has any advise for me. The county I live in doesn't seem to offer much help to convicted felons. My money is tight, but I am willing to do whatever I have to in order to make it on my own and raise my kids. So, that's the short version of my story. Thanks for taking the time to read it. Have a great day!!

~Kendra
