Just updating and venting a little...please pray for me!

Ok...I finally found a place to live and I am supposed to be moving into it by the 25th of this month. The only problem I am facing now is that I think the owner is going to want the first month and the deposit by this weekend, which I can't swing really. I am $600 short. If I don't have to give it to him until the 25th then I think I will be okay...AAAUUUGGGGGGG!!!!!! Please, if you are reading this, please stop what you are doing at this very second and say a quick little prayer for me. I am a strong believer in prayer and it only takes a few words to catch the ear of God, i promise.  Please, please, please...pray for me.

Thanks!

~Kendra

p.s.

drop me your prayer requests and I will say one for you!

God Bless you ALL!!!!!!

I found a place...finally!

Update...I found a house, finally. It will be ready to move in around the first of next month. All I need now is to come up with another $1500. Anyone have any suggestions of any place/program in Florida that might help me with a deposit. That doesn't include getting my lights and water turned on either. It's gonna be hard to come up with the money, but I really can't complain too much. Someone is finally going to give me a chance and I'm going to do my best to get into this house. Please pray for me and for my need to be met. The bible says that when two or more come together in agreement our prayers are heard. I do not think God would lead me to something that He would not help me through...right? Anyways, I just wanted to share that with you...me and my kids will finally have a place of our own!! Yay!!!

Just an update...

 in response to youngmomoftwobabies...

Hi Danielle. I read your message and my heart melted. I know how it is to be where you are. I know the overwhelming feeling of everything around you falling apart and not being able to do anything about it. Do you have any family that can/will help out? Where do you live?(what city/state) When I was younger and my 3 kids were babies still, I went to the local Department of Children and Families and they really helped me out a lot. I had to follow their program/rules to the tee, but it really paid off. I was given free daycare imediately and they also gave me gas vouchers each week and a wal-mart giftcard to get diapers and formula with. It truely saved me at that time in my life. Also, in the city I live in there is a program/shelter for women and children. They allow you and your children to live there. They provide daycare for your kids whiile you go to school. They do job placement and help you get on your feet.If you are willing to do the program completely and follow their guidlines/rules then you will receive the help you need and you will overcome whatever obstacles are in your way. I am going to look up the name of the organization and get there contact information. I think they are located all over the United States. I will get back to you soon.

Just an update...

Well...I found someone who is willing to look past my faults and help me out based on who I am today instead of the mistakes of my past. Praise God! Now, I just have to get up the rest of the money needed to move into a place. I have to be ready when the door opens. If anyone has any advise or information on organizations that help people who are trying to help themselves, I'm all ears. I have close to half the money that I am estimating I will need. Even information on an organization that might make loans to people with "not so good" credit history. I work steady and can provide references. Maybe you know of someplace that offers grants to single mothers to help with deposits/move in fees? If anything crosses your mind, please think of me and let me know. I'll follow any leads that are thrown my way!  Thanks for reading, caring and sharing!

Have a wonderful day everyone,

Kendra

Thank you for reminding me of how good God is! I know that once we become responsible for the little things He gives us, He will then give us charge over bigger things. Patience and obedience are the keys. I need to hear that today...thanks! Have a wonderful day and may all your needs be met in abundance!

About Kendra76

Hi. My name is Kendra and here is a little about me...For 13 years I was a on again-off again drug user. During that time I was in several abusive relationships and I hung out with the "wrong crowd" of people. I frequently broke the law and eventually ended up going to prison for two years. During those 13 years, I managed to have three beautiful, smart, gifted and amazing kids. My oldest will be 12 this year, my middle one is 9 and my baby will be 8 in October. Right before I went to prison, I was lost...more so that I have ever been in my life. I had lost everything and had completely given up on myself. Prison actually saved my life. It gave me a chance to find myself again and when I got home, I had a life...my kids had a mama again. Since I've been home things have been great, I am a new person. The only thing I am having trouble with is finding a place to live. I have a great job, it's steady and very dependable. For once I have insurance for my kids and myself, I don't have to work weekends or nights and I feel good about what I am doing! I know that I have made many mistakes in my past, but I am doing good now. I feel like I have learned from my mistakes and I don't ever plan to look back or to repeat any of those things again. I don't expect things to be handed to me, as I know there are more deserving people in the world than me. I do however, feel like I deserve a chance for a new start. My past is hindering me tremendously. I get turned down on every rental application I fill out. I need help. Please let me know if anyone has any advise for me. The county I live in doesn't seem to offer much help to convicted felons. My money is tight, but I am willing to do whatever I have to in order to make it on my own and raise my kids. So, that's the short version of my story. Thanks for taking the time to read it. Have a great day!!
